Feed My Starving Children

Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit Christian organization committed to feeding God's starving children hungry in body and spirit.

The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals formulated specially for starving children, and we ship the meals to more than 60 countries around the world.

Unique aspects of Feed My Starving Children (FMSC):

1. Food mixture is formulated by food scientists to address the needs of children suffering from malnourishment
2. Volunteers package 100% of the food
3. Christian and humanitarian relief organizations partner with FMSC to deliver the food to children around the world

The Food:

Each FMSC meal provides the key nutrients a starving child needs to survive and thrive:

1. Rice - the most widely accepted grain around the world
2. Extruded soy nuggets - maximum protein at a low cost
3. 20 vitamins and minerals (with vegetarian chicken flavor) - nutrition & flavor
4. Dehydrated vegetables - nutrition & flavor

Preparation: Just cook with boiling water.

Food distribution partners:

Children in more than 60 countries receive FMSC food Worldwide Christian and humanitarian relief organizations partner with FMSC and distribute FMSC food to children in various community settings: orphanages, schools, clinics, refugee camps, nutrition programs

Donations:

- Financial contributions allow FMSC to purchase ingredients
- 94% of total donations to FMSC go directly to the feeding program
- Each meal costs only 17 cents to produce, so donations of all amounts go a long way in the fight against world hunger

In 2008, more than 310,000 volunteers joined Feed My Starving Children to package 73.6 million meals for children around the world.
